Michigan GOP Leaders Require Drug Testing Flint Residents Before Water Restoration

In a funding bill passed by the Republican led Michigan legislature the State Senate just approved language that subjects Flint residents to mandatory drug urinalysis and surprise sobriety checks. Called Operation NightHawk.

In exchange for their cooperation and successful passage, the State will approve up to 40 gallons of clean water a day per household.

Governor Rick Snyder intends to sign the measure and responded to our media request, “Folks just need to follow the rules. Clean water is not a right”
